Long time no post huh?

With the dawning of the new month, and realising it's been SOOO long since we posted; I thought it was about time to let you know what Miss Madeline has been up to! :)

As you can see from the photo to the side, Maddy has been sporting her swimmers around the place. We had a 'girls' weekend away in early September when we stayed at the Nara Resort on the Gold Coast and then met up with Daddy at Sea World. We all had a fabulous time, got some great video footage of all of the animals and Maddy even went on some of the kiddy rides with Mummy.
Now a happy little GIRL (where has my little baby gone?) of 9 months, Maddy is proudly sporting 4 teeth and has decided now is the time to finally allow her poor sleep deprived parents some much needed sleep. After a week of being unsettled cutting her 4th tooth, Madeline has for the first time ever, been sleeping through the night. *Daddy and Mummy do the happy dance!*

Not happy with merely crawling (and bloody fast too!), Miss M has been RUNNING along the carpet pushing her trike in front of herself. She confidently steps between objects provided she has a hand on each, closes the sliding doors behind us too! *L* She's still loving her tinned/bottled foods as long as they don't include vegies or meat (who'd want them when they can eat Creamy Banana Porridge or Creamy Oats with Fig & Sultana?), but has decided she also likes bread, Mummy's homemade spag bog, cheese sticks, yoghurt & mashed potato.
Since she started talking, it's gotten rather difficult keeping her quiet actually! *LOL* In particular, first thing in the morning is chat time with Daddy & Mummy in bed. Maddy loves to lie back, poke open Daddy's eyes and have a little natter. Her vocabulary has extended to Mumma, Dadda, Bubba, Grandma, Nanna, Papa, Hello and Bye; the latter two including exhuberant waves.

On the home front; we don't have an awful amount happening at the moment. We're just cruising along, waiting to hear whether we're moving to Sydney in the near future. John has his appraisal in the next two weeks, so hopefully we'll know what's happening round about then. I (Bec) FINALLY (yes, I hear those sighs and can imagine the rolled eyes too! hehe) got my license a month back, so we've been galivating around the city and up to Caloundra for the Australian trials for the World Gymnastics Championships in Denmark at the end of October.

Time to go to bed and enjoy the fact that our princess is in bed; and get a relatively early night. Sorry again for being so slack in keeping this blog up to date, will try and do better I promise! :)
Love,
Bec, John & Maddy
